Do
you remember the small pink guitar you wanted as a child. You though they looked silly and cute
because of their size and wondered who would ever play that. Surely no
adult would, it's way too small. As you grew older you started looking down on it thinking it was just a toy or something only the weird
hippies would play. But guess what? The ukulele is actually a
fantastic instrument and I'm going to tell you exactly why!
#Its cheap!!
Compared
to other instruments, the ukulele can be seen as quite inexpensive.
You can purchase a fairly good one for under 100€ which in my
opinion is quite a good deal. It is true that if you want a super
magnificent custom-made ukulele you need to pay more, but that goes
for all of the instruments.
Anther plus with the ukulele is that
there is almost no additional costs concerning extra-bits or
maintenance. The ukulele comes with the strings
attached and they don’t need to be changed. The only thing you might have to buy is a case and some plectrums.
Compared to other instruments, the ukulele can be seen as quite inexpensive.
#It's
easy
The
ukulele has only four strings with which makes
it relatively easy compared to other instruments.
Because
there are only four strings the ukulele chords are a bit easier to understand
– less
notes equals
to
less things for your mind and fingers to memorize.
Have
you ever wished to be able to play your favorite song on an instrument. You open YouTube and watch these amazingly talented musician's tutorial's and soon realized in frustration it is merely impossible for an average person like you to play such complicated things.
Well,
for
almost all the other instruments it
is indeed just
too damn hard, but
with
the ukulele you can actually learn your favorite song in just a day!
#Easily
portable
Have
you ever watched how cellists and guitarist carry their instruments
in their
huge cases? In
my opinion it looks way too difficult and takes too much effort and
commitment. That’s exactly why the is ukulele is an awesome
instrument, it only takes up a small space and is fairly
effortless to transport. You can easily take your ukulele where ever you want.
#Mood
booster
Have
you ever listened to a ukulele without a smile creeping up on your
face. In my opinion ukuleles are cool and adorable and makes a
cheerful sound that spreads happiness all over. Playing the ukulele is a
great way to relieve stress or other negative emotions since it
always lifts up your spirits, relaxes and makes you joyful. If happiness had a sound I am sure it
would sound like the ukulele.
Over
the past few years, the ukulele's popularity has increased with hit songs such as Somewhere Over the Rainbow
by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole and I’m Yours by Jason Mraz
getting on the top lists. This makes me glad because the
ukulele is an amazing instrument and I think it needs more
recognition and appreciation. I am proud to play the ukulele and in that way to
have something in common with the brilliant Elvis Presley.
“If
everyone played the ukulele the world would be a happier
place”

Loved your post! The GIFs and the pictures were refreshing and made the post look fun. Nice subheadings and good points were made. I got really inspired to go out and buy a ukulele after reading this.
ReplyDeleteThis was very enjoyable to read because of the personal inputs of the author. The points made are good and the advantages of Ukuleles are well brought out. The GIFs are funny and helped to bring the points across but still remained related to the topic. The title is very fitting to this post and immediately grabbed my attention. A very informative blog post and nicely written as well.
ReplyDeleteThis post was interesting, and i really liked the GIFs. When i was reading the points, i could totally relate to them, like how when you are listening to someone playing a ukulele you can't avoid not getting a smile on your face. The title was effective, it made me want to read the post to see how the ukulele is so awesome. The post had good information about ukuleles, and why someone should get one.
ReplyDeleteThis post has a good focus and a personal touch. It's well laid-out and organized and captures the reader's attention.
ReplyDeleteThe one improvement I'd like to point out is that you have included many rhetorical questions, but don't use question marks at the end. A good way to check this is to proofread your text with the punctuation that you've used to pick up the errors.
