Bundesliga season 2016-2017 so far

Often when people are asked what the biggest football leagues in Europe are, they say the English Premier League and the Spanish LaLiga. But what about the German Bundesliga? It has the highest average attendance in its games, high scoring games, and has some of the biggest teams in Europe. In this blog post, I will be talking about my opinions so far, and predictions of the Bundesliga season 2016-2017.
First off, I am pretty certain that Bayern Munchen will win the league. I think so because of the following reasons;
1. Bayern have lots of depth to their team. They have a lot more world class options on their bench than their competitors such as Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig, so the injury of a starting 11 player would not be as big of a problem as to their competitors. This allows Bayern to rotate players, to keep everyone fit and ready to prove they deserve a place in the team.
2. Bayern's biggest competitor in the past couple of years has been Borussia Dortmund. But this season, Dortmund have had a rough start, and are currently at a measly sixth, trailing eight points behind Bayern, who are currently tied for first place. This means that if Bayern keep up their current form, there is no way Dortmund will be able to catch up to them. This makes tied first place RB Leipzig Bayerns biggest competitor. Leipzig is a real success story, as they were promoted to the Bundesliga this season, and are already tied first with the mighty Bayern. But I just cannot believe Leipzig have what it takes to continue their form for the whole season. I think so because they do not have any depth to their team, and have to play the same players every game, while Bayern can constantly rotate players to keep everyone fit and full of energy. Some may argue that Leipzig have an advantage as they are not playing in the Champions League like Bayern are, but I think Bayern has enough depth to their team to do well in the Champions league as well as win the domestic title, as they have for the past couple of years.
3. Bayern never slip up. They are always able to keep constant good form, which yields them domestic titles year after year.
4. Bayern have, in my opinion, one of the best strikers in the world: Robert Lewandowski (in picture below). He is currently only third top scorer in the Bundesliga, four goals behind Dortmund's Aubameyang and one goal behind Köln's Modeste. Just the fact that I said he is "only" the third top scorer already tells how good he is. Last season he was the top scorer in the Bundesliga, and managed incredible things such as scoring five goals in nine minutes, which was a world record.

So far, I think this season has been a good one. This is mainly because, as a Bayern fan, it is nice to see Bayern doing well and Dortmund slipping up. The games have also been very entertaining and high scoring, as I am used to seeing in, and would expect from the Bundesliga. But one of the most interesting things so far is RB Leipzig. I thought that by now, as it is almost Christmas, they would have already lost their form and would have gone crashing down the table, but they still stand strong, and are tied first with Bayern. They did lose last weekend to at the time last place Ingolstadt, so the downfall might have already begun, and if it has, I already love it.

  1. Extremely well written text, grammar was good and so was the structure. The title is a little broad, it doesn't really tell the readers that you will be analysing the season so far. You also used the word "depth" very frequently, you could've maybe found a synonym? Other than that, I enjoyed reading your analysis of the Bundesliga season, and I am excited to see who comes on top. As for your analysis, I disagree with your statement that RB Leipzig will crumble and do not have what it takes to win. Look at the BPL last year, the underdogs, Leicester City proved everyone wrong and won the title. RB Leipzig have their "Vardy", and I believe the Werner will help RB Leipzig to their first Bundesliga title.

  2. Well written blog, I had a fun time reading it as I myself am quite interested in the subject. The one negative of the post is that I don't believe that Bayern Munich will win the league title, otherwise good.

  3. The content and layout of this post is quite good, and the language is fairly accurate throughout. However, the title could be a little more catchy to draw the reader in.
